Exit Vector - Comments Add

01/13/10   Abrupt though it may have been, the concusion of Exit Vector (as all previous installments) held every second of my attention. In total: thought-provoking, noirish, thrilling, loopy, escapist, and both artsy & fartsy. Your public demands more, scribe.....

01/13/10   Conclusion....sorry about that.

01/13/10   Sad to see her go. It was a dark ride -- the kind I like.

- Mary Davis, The gutter

01/13/10   Hey, thanks Harry. You have a big heart out there in God's Country. Just want to clarify: Underland was a more than congenial showcase for EV, and I was lucky to be here.

- Drax, Weary Land

01/13/10   It is sad that circumstances compelled Simon Drax to bring this otherwise excellent novel to such an abrupt conclusion. His loyal fans will follow his future projects, wherever they may land, and hope that this will have another life in a more congenial format.

- Harry Palmer, God's Country

11/19/09   Uncle Hugo! That's harsh, man!

- Drax, Between Defiance & Indifference

11/18/09   I am greatly disappointed by the enfeebled effort displayed with this installment, "Dark City, Despair," especially in light of the stellar heights attained in the prior chapter. The author brings great shame to the noble House of Drax.

- Sir Hugo Drax, Location CLASSIFIED

11/10/09   What an incredible movie this would make (but not, Drax help me, an anime, please). If the current installment hadn't been so deliciously long, I think I would have held my breath through the entire thing. The tension is relentless, and the excitement contagious. This thing really rocks.

- Harry Palmer, God's Country

11/07/09   "...an iron orchid sprouting stiff and immobile from the desert sand." Gorgeous, frightening poetry, as always. Can't wait for more.

- Alexandra Pecci, New Hampshire

09/15/09   And now an apparent Blatty allusion as Drax masterfully continues to pick up speed, both literally and figuratively. (I presume Blatty didn't pen the words "The power of Christ compels you," which for all I know come from the actual Roman Ritual, but let's face it, what do we think of when we hear them?) Is there nothing this delicious wovel doesn't offer? Freaky alien beast OR Wyndhamesque children, I say "Bring it on!"

- Harry Palmer, God's Country

08/30/09   we he hell! This little story is heating up. I love me some wovels. Keep it coming.

- parsimony, tx

08/11/09   A drop in an exploding ocean of hate....Worth waiting an extra day for.

- Turafish, Little Neck, NY

08/04/09   With Episode Six (brief though it may be), Drax has given us, deliberately or otherwise, a delightful echo of QUATERMASS AND THE PIT. And coming from this observer, evoking The GREAT Nigel Kneale is the highest possible praise. Keep 'em coming!

- Harry Palmer, God's Country

08/03/09   Guilty, Parsimony. Guilty.

- Drax, Hell, Apparently

08/03/09   I am sorry, but this one is not up to the others; three pages is less than a teaser. Also the choices are hm
not too tasty.
Show us some ACTION.

- parsimony, the Republic of Texas

07/29/09   I really love this particular vote choice! Keep rockin' out, Mr. Drax...

- Jemiah, PDX Inferno

07/27/09   Tor likes oatmeal!

- Tor, the grave

07/25/09   Just caught up with Exit Vector. I'm very quickly becoming a Simon Drax fan. Is there any way you could toss up an RSS feed so this would be easier to keep track of?

- Steven KLotz, Northridge, CA

07/20/09   As a Draxfan of long standing, I can say with confidence that he is really on his game with EXIT VECTOR (a great title, by the way). His searing antirealism, endearingly desperate characters, world-bending stoytelling skills and diamond-chipped verbiage are well in evidence, while the wovel format makes the story uniquely addictive. First one's free.

- Harry Palmer, God's Country

07/15/09   Exit Vector, and enter Simon Drax, the new voice of anime in prose form. With atmosphere and plotting thick with mystery, suspense, and action, the work of this new and up-and-coming "wovelist" manages to marry the literary serialized novels of Dickens' day with the serial chapter plays of old in all their pulp cliffhanger glory.

- The New Frontiersman, New York, NY

07/15/09   Drax has taken the wovel world by storm here....Looking forward to the next installment! Can he add new ones every day maybe?

- Turafish, Little Neck, NY

07/15/09   I woveled off my chair.

- Leonard von Sabrehunst, The floor

07/13/09   A wovel (or webnovel as I prefer to call it) needs to break out of the print-only paradigm in more ways than simple branching. See for example:

01/06/09   I also heard the program on NPR. Really enjoyed the short stories. The Wovel is interesting. Yes, I will keep reading.
Thanks

- Bob Klug, Dallas Texas

01/05/09   I just heard about Wovel today from NPR. I wanted to say that I love the idea and I wish I knew about it from the beginning. I am a very busy medical student. Hence, I find it impossible to actually sit down and read a novel. However, this way I can read even 10 minutes a day on my laptop. Thanks for your bright idea. I'm looking forward to reading the story.
